After contemplating that new kitchen or addition for some time you may wonder where to begin. We suggest keeping a binder of magazine photos, ideas or articles that may be of interest. These will be a good starting point in determining your personal tastes and preferences. We also recommend giving careful consideration to your budget. The first appointment begins with an informal interview to define the project goals. A site evaluation will help determine the scope and feasibility of the plan. We will share some overall design concepts as well as a rough estimate for the proposed plan. If we both feel there is a "good fit", we will follow up with our client reference list and sample contract for your review. To this point there is no cost or obligation on your part. |

Once you have decided to proceed forward, you will be asked for a non-refundable retainer. The amount ranges from $2000.00 to $3000.00 depending on the size of the project. This shows your intent to contract with Riddle Construction & Design and in most circumstances will apply to the final contract. Upon receiving the retainer, the design phase begins. We will explore various alternatives and produce conceptual drawings that represent our vision for the |
| space. A Specification Sheet that details the scope of the work will also be included. As the design is revised and honed, the working drawings and material selections are reviewed and finalized. This is also the time when we will coordinate a site visit for craftsmen involved in your remodel. When the Specification Sheet and drawings are complete, a contract is signed for a fixed price with an approximate start date. Following contract signing all necessary materials are ordered and a project timeline is set in place. In some instances the start of the job may depend on permit processing, product lead-time or even the weather! |

As the start date approaches, we like to have a pre-construction meeting at your home. This is a good opportunity to review the timeline again, go over site protection and answer any questions that may be of concern. From there, the job will progress through the various phases of construction as they relate to your remodel. Since each project is unique there is no set time frame, however the typical kitchen/bathroom usually takes around 8-10 weeks with larger additions or renovations 12-16 weeks. When the job is complete and you have lived in your new space, we will arrange for a final “walk thru” to address any final details that require our attention. It is our goal that all our clients are completely satisfied with the quality and workmanship that has gone into their home. |
| We at Riddle Construction & Design take great pride in providing our clients with an environment that truly is a reflection of their taste, lifestyle and budget. For home renovations of lasting value…. |
